Questions that make you go...hmmmmm!

Why, when you have surgery, do they ask you to count backwards from 100?
100...99...98...97...96....95....94....93....92....91....90....Zzzz
They know you won't make it much past 90!
Why don't they say...count to ten?
Or maybe recite the alphabet?

You have to count down? I don't remember that. I do remember counting down from ten once at the dentist and telling myself "I will make it to one, I will make it to one". Think I made it to eight.

Lucy helped me out on this one, too. I assumed it was just to keep your mind occupied. If they asked me to count to 10, it's so easy that I would be otherwise distracted!

Wow I didn't know why they did that either but good to know... me personally, I think tongue twisters would be more fun than counting backwards...

How is KIWI doing?

Di...hi, how are you? Kiwi is onery, and loud! lol. She/he sings alot and has lots of jungle calls.Still won't come to me but is not afraid anymore. We got a baby cockatiel also now. They get along great and are in a big parrot cage and they love it! The baby "squeaks" is very very social and wants out to sit on us all the time. Kiwi is learning!

I dont know but if that stuff was on the market, even illegally, I'd be a drug user for sure. I've had almost 20 surgeries and I love that feeling where they say,

"count backward from 100 and you are gonna get a little sleepy"

then the next thing you hear is someone shouting your name to wake-up

Jerri...I never thought about it being available to the public either legally or illegally. Yikes, people would be dropping like flies until they knew just how much to have...either that or the whole world would be asleep! hmmmmmmmmmmm! Most of those types of drugs have to be administered a little at a time though I understand, to keep you under. Still makes you wonder!
