The car show is in the history books! We had 46 cars, trucks, and motorcycles! We had a nice response from the people that came and altogether with the show and yard sale, earned $1558 for our charity, Open Arms Pregnancy Clinic to help Mom's and babies.
Boy was it a warm day! We had a lot of fun, gave out alot of hot dogs and pop and water. The guys had a raffle and blew up an engine, and we had a poker walk!
We met lots of new people and were able to see some of our old friends as well. It was a fun show! We even got some new people interested in joining our car club. It was an awesome time! I will have pictures soon!

Sounds like it was a great success! You are so busy these days -- and so passionate about what you do! Just hope you are taking some quiet time just for you though.!
Oopsss -- that "anoyomouse" comment above was just me....
Carolyn...it is hard to take time for me when there is so much to get done right now! I am hoping it will calm down after VBS is over, and Hubby will be gone for about two weeks so I should have some time for myself then. Being passionate about things is great and of course it has it's rewards, but it also has a cost. Sometimes that cost is not worth it. But I am not sure if it the project that keeps me from my quiet time or if it's the computer that I use to relax or unwind? I can sure tell when I don't take my quiet time with the Lord! Seems like I am always having to "fall back and re-group". Funny how He can bring me back when I get too busy...Thank you for your comments and for your blog, I do enjoy reading it!
What an awesome amount of money you raised. Sounds like you ahd a great time!!
What kind of a car club is it? I'm into Mustangs and we also have shows that raise money for charities and stuff.
Jose...our car club is a ministry of our church, called His Rides. We have cars trucks and motorcycles. This is only our second year. We are hoping to get alot of people together that love their rides or just have a love for cars/bikes whatever. We do project cars and have special days set aside to work on the cars of our widows or single mom's cars.
As for mustangs, we have a 65 fastback. My son has 2 turbo mustangs also. Need I say more?
How old is your club? We are trying to see how other clubs do things, and how they handle their shows etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Is yours a mustang club?
